The Seeking Alpha referral program is the one official way existing subscribers can earn money off their own subscription while giving a friend a longer free trial than the standard offer. According to Seeking Alpha's help center, anyone who signs up through your referral link gets a 14-day free trial of Premium, and you receive a $25 subscription credit for each friend who goes on to pay for Premium.

How to Find Your Referral Link
- Log in to Seeking Alpha.
- Click your profile picture at the top right.
- Open "Account Settings".
- Click "Referrals".
- Copy your private link and share it.
The Maths: How Many Referrals Cover Premium?
At $25 per successful referral, 12 referrals would equal $300, slightly more than Premium's $299 list price. Four referrals would cover $100. Seeking Alpha says credits can "significantly reduce (or even fully cover)" your subscription cost over time, so a subscriber with an active investing circle could pay little or nothing.
For the Friend: 14 Days vs 7 Days
The standard new-subscriber offer gives a 7-day free trial. Signing up through a referral link doubles that to 14 days, which covers a full two-week research cycle. Remember that Seeking Alpha allows one free trial per service per lifetime, so whichever trial a person uses first is the one they get.
The referral page does not mention the $269 first-year partner price. If your friend's priority is the lowest year-one price rather than the longest trial, the partner offer may suit them better. Compare both before signing up.
Prefer the lower first-year price?
$269 for year one through our partner link, after a 7-day free trial.

| Route | Who benefits | Cost to friend |
|---|---|---|
| Referral link | Friend: 14-day trial; you: $25 credit if they convert | Standard price after trial |
| Partner link | New subscriber: $269 first year, 7-day trial | $269 in year one |
| Gift subscription | Recipient: one year of Premium, no card needed | Nothing; the giver pays |
Seeking Alpha does not require codes for its partner pricing. See Seeking Alpha promo code and Seeking Alpha gift subscription.
Rules and Etiquette
- Share your link with people who are genuinely interested; spamming forums can breach community rules.
- Tell friends the trial will convert to a paid subscription unless they cancel at least a day before it ends.
- Credits apply to subscription payments, not cash.
Referral Program for New Subscribers
If you are not yet a subscriber, ask friends or family who already use Seeking Alpha Premium whether they will send you their referral link. You get the longer 14-day trial and they get a credit if you stay. If nobody you know subscribes, the partner offer gives you a 7-day trial and a $269 first year.
Tracking Your Credits
Seeking Alpha does not publish a separate dashboard description in the help article, so check the Referrals section in Account Settings and your invoices to see credits applied. Email subscriptions@seekingalpha.com if a referral you expected is missing. Keep a short note of who you referred and when, which makes any follow-up with support easier.
Our Take
The Seeking Alpha referral program is simple and genuinely useful. Friends get a 14-day Premium trial, twice the usual length, and you earn a $25 subscription credit each time one of them becomes a paying subscriber. A dozen successful referrals would roughly cover a year of Premium at list price. It does not replace the $269 partner offer for people who care most about first-year price, but for existing subscribers with friends who invest, it is the most practical way to cut renewal costs. Find your link under Account Settings > Referrals and share it only with people who would actually benefit. Credits never replace good judgement about whether Premium itself is worth it for you, so renew only if you would pay anyway.

How We Researched This Page
We built this comparison from each company's own pricing, plan and help pages, checked in October 2026. Seeking Alpha figures (Premium $299 list, $269 first year through our link, 7-day free trial for new subscribers, Alpha Picks $499 list with $449 shown via our offer link as of Oct 2026, bundle $718 first year, PRO $2,400 list) come from Seeking Alpha's offer pages and help center. Where a competitor's page could not be read directly, we say so and either describe the feature in general terms or link to the official page rather than guess. Performance figures quoted by any vendor are that vendor's own claims, not independent audits. Prices and features change, so always confirm the final price at checkout before you subscribe.
